Crackdown 2 to have four-player co-op, single-player mode

crackdown2logo

Microsoft’s released the first proper details on Crackdown 2, confirming the game has a single-player experience of some form.

The sequel, announced last week in Microsoft’s press conference at E3, is to have four-player co-op and competitive multiplayer for up to 16 people.

The company said earlier that Crackdown 2 “takes multiplayer gaming to unprecedented levels for the ultimate co-op and competitive multiplayer experience”.

Get pumped. It’s out next year.

It’s the same as co-op, but co-op is more fun, you have been playing with the wrong sort of people :)

Is co-op online only or can you do split-screen?

Online only, we’ll have to find you a 48hr code or something, then break you in gently..

I think I’ve got a couple of those lying around somewhere. I definitely got one with Fable 2.

They’d be hard pressed to make it any more boring then the first.
“Hello agent, heres a list of people to kill… Oh and you can do some races. Have a nice game!”

If inFamous is the best of the open world platforming genre then this is a very sad time for gaming.

I don’t quite get how it’s always the crazy folks that are spouting PS3 propaganda? Where are the unreasonable Xbox fanboys? They too busy acting like dicks on Live to venture on the blogs?

There’s whassisname….farticus?….on the Eurogamer boards, who counts as a one-man Xbot troll army all on his own. But, other than him…yeah, the Sony Defence Force seem to have cornered the market in the online crazy loons.

And then there’s bdh here, bravely fighting the PC gaming uber alles looney fight.
