Halo 3 and Halo Wars sell between 57,000 and 74,000 units in April

Killzone 2 may have sold 58,000 units in the US during the month of April, but according to recent NPD numbers, Halo 3 may have outsold it.
A report from Gamasutra divulges that Halo 3 and Halo Wars sold somewhere between 57,000 and 74,000 units a piece.
While exact figures for each were lacking in the report, it’s seems likely that Halo 3 likely topped 58,000 units but then again it could easily have been Halo Wars.
More over on CVG.

As far as I can tell the figures seem to be derived from the knowledge that Halo Wars and Halo 3 were ahead of Riddick on the 360, which sold 57,000, but under GTA: Chinatown Wars, which sold 74,000.
So both Halo games are somewhere between the two, and could both have outsold Killzone 2 or could both have not.

Amazing given how long Halo 3 has been out for now.

@ Psychotext
Every new Xbox 360 owner is potentially a new Halo 3 owner. Despite it’s age and dated graphics, the game still maintains the most thriving community on XBox Live.

So apparently Halo 3 actually sold 67,000 copies in April: http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6210049.html
Nice.

Psychotext, have you found the individual system charts anywhere? I didn’t see them when I looked around yesterday, but obviously if Halo Wars was above Halo 3 in the 360 chart then that means it too sold at least 67,000.

No unit figures on them though. Halo Wars is below Halo 3, so that puts it somewhere between 57,000 and 67,000.

Psychotext: Cheers. I could not squeeze the answer out of Google, however I input the terms.
