Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising gets first gameplay trailer [Update]

Codemasters put out a gameplay trailer of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising this morning.
After the break.
Most of it doesn’t look much like gameplay to us, but we’re not going to argue. It’s out on PC, PS3 and 360 this “spring”.
Update: Just added six in-game shots as well. They’re below the movie.

Oh know they used the words “modern warfare” when this is obviously not modern warfare. We must contact Infinity Ward and tell them of this idiot like behavior… GAY
Infinity Ward doesnt own the words “modern warfare” plus this game is guna be 100x more realistic than Modern Warfare 2 so they can easily say “modern warfare” all they like.
Modern Warfare 2 = Arcade like gameplay fun
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising = Realistic gameplay and situations.

This isn’t a gameplay trailer at all, there’s no first person in-game view used. It all looks staged.

The podcast “Command Prompt” crew liked the original game a lot. I never did play it, but I am looking forward to this tactical FPS which are few and far between. The COD series is in its original versions a “nade fight in a closet”
But once they are modded to tactical (CODMW with X4tr and CODWaW with OW) and with the great larger custom maps now out for CODWaW – they are fun to play. But it takes time for the gameplay to improve from a arcade twitch-style gameplay. Nice to see a TR FPS straight out the gate:) But than again I’m a console port hating hardcore PC gamer;)
Modern Warfare (BF2 and CODMW) is a GENRE like “WWII” is, as is “futuristic” warfare (BF2142).
