SCEE – No PS3 birthday bundles for the UK

ps3a2

Following rumour yesterday of European PS3 bundles to celebrate the console’s second birthday, Sony’s told us any such activity won’t be reaching Britain.

“We aren’t doing any anniversary bundles for the UK, but I can’t speak for the other territories,” said a Sony UK rep.

PS3 is two years old in Europe on March 23.

The original chatter said GT and GTA IV bundles would be released on the same date for €400.

Thanks, Johnny Cullen.

Seems to me as a bizarre idea not to release it in the UK.

Actually I just thought of a good reason why they might not be releasing it in the UK. Money! with the Pound being week against the Euro, a lot of people in the Euro zone might buy in from the uk, meaning Sony would make less money.

That’ll teach you to actually buy them, UK!
