Lenny Kravitz Pack winging its way to Rock Band
MTV and Harmonix has announced that the ‘Lenny Kravitz Pack 01′ will hit Rock Band this week.
The pack will include ‘Freedom Train,’ ‘Mr. Cab Driver’ an ‘Let Love Rule’ from the Let Love Rule album. You also get ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’, so it’s a pretty good line we reckon.
No price has been given but these things usually cost 440 MS Points and around £3.49 from PSN.
Full release after the break.

MTV AND HARMONIX DELIVER THE AWARD WINNING ROCK SOUND OF SINGER-SONGWRITER LENNY KRAVITZ TO ROCK BAND® FANS
HARMONIX BANDS MEGASUS AND HONEST BOB AND THE FACTORY-TO-DEALER INCENTIVES ADDED TO THE ROCK BAND MUSIC STORE
Cambridge, Mass. – January 9, 2009 – Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that the inimitable singer-songwriter and producer Lenny Kravitz will bring four of his greatest hits to the Rock® Band Music Store of downloadable content. The multi-talented Kravitz has sold more than 30 million albums and won four consecutive Grammy awards for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance 1999-2002, setting a record for most wins in a single category. Kravitz’ classic rock star style and one-of-a-kind, smooth sound that blends the best of soul, rock and funk have left many to classify him as one of the most regarded rock musicians of his time.
The Rock Band “Lenny Kravitz Pack 01″ includes three tracks from his 1989 album Let Love Rule including the title track as well as “Freedom Train” and “Mr. Cab Driver.” The pack also includes the title track from his 1993 album Are You Gonna Go My Way, which has been deemed one of Kravitz’ most successful singles.
This week’s addition to the Rock Band Music Store also includes two singles from Harmonix bands including heavy metal band Megasus and the lyrical stylings of Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives. Megasus makes its first Rock Band appearance with the single, “Megasus,” and Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives delivers its second track to the Rock Band music library with its song “Entangled”. The band’s hit “I Get By” was featured on the original Rock Band soundtrack.

Man, who’d have ever expected Lenny to fall foul of the horrors of tentacle rape?

This is the first time I’ve actually looked at it but is the PSN always ‘technically’ cheaper for Rock Bank content? how about other content?
440 MSP at 0.85 = 374 == £3.74
compared to £3.49

How is this news-worthy? Rock Band announces weekly content to be released on a Tuesday on Xbox 360 the Friday before and VG247 has never seemed to be great fans of the Guitar Hero or Rock Band franchises in the past.
Personally they are my most played games, but I’m slightly surprised at this, is all.
If this was done every Friday so I could just look at my VG247 RSS feed instead of looking on wikipedia each week that would be great though
And the pricing of 440 MSP seems unlikely. That is the standard price for a pack and is 20 MSP cheaper than buying the songs separately (woo!) but that’s for track packs which have 3 songs, and this Lenny Kravitz pack has 4.

Just a quick question – How do you know the author of posts? I can only tell Mike Bowden as it says at the bottom of each article, yet I’ve seen others where people seem to know quite easily who has written it. Is it just familiarity with that persons writing style and knowledge of personal opinions/biases or is it (in)explicitly written somewhere?
