New inFAMOUS gameplay shows electricity

infamous1b.jpg

Watch below as your character runs around electrocuting people in the face in a tunnel. It’s what games and gaming is all about.

Sucker Punch’s inFAMOUS is a PS3 exclusive and is due out this year.

That really is good! :D Really surprised me how that was – well done to Sucker Punch.

That one left me a bit ‘meh’, tbh. The animation and physics are still pretty wonky, everything seems to be running a little faster than you’d expect it to like a Keystone Cops movie, and it’s not even that pretty.

The main character’s animation in particular is pretty awful. My concern for this project is rising.

Nicer graphics than Prototype, but it seems far less compelling. PS3 owners, however, get to have both.

Oh dear. This really doesn’t compare very well to the new Prototype gameplay movies that have just gone up on GameTrailers. Infamous’s streets look totally deserted compared to Prototype’s!

I’m not even particularly sold on Prototype, but it certainly looks the better of the two projects from where I’m sitting. By quite a way.

Edit: Actually, I’m fairly shocked at how similar the two games really are. Some of the things shown in the gameplay demos are absolutely identical!

Seeing that you mentioned Gametrailers, might as well mention the other two vids for Infamous that were posted on there, today.
The new footage for Prototype does look very good. You’re right there. Two quality games to be looking forward to, in Summer, can’t be a bad thing. :)

The Tunnel Gameplay is the least compellign of all the videos.

I think what excites me about this is the teased multiplayer, and the fact it has so little hype, and we know so little about it.

Just last month we found out there was levitating in infamous, and I just saw a bit of teleporting in the other video that I assume Cole will also put to use.

Chaff bggrenades in this video.

Electrcitity could be a lot mroe diverse power.

But less hype is good to be honest.

Woah, hadn’t seen that.

Looks great, lvoe the running, and the gore looks really great.

Anyone know what I eman when I say that game looks like it’s a fake game, they prerendered for like a TV show or something?

It’s got something CG looking about it. In a good way I think.

That Prototype thing looks much better now that he doesn’t have freaky purple tentacles. The new effect is great.

I’ve got high hopes for Infamous, but this latest video has hit the ‘meh’ switch. It just doesn’t seem particularly exciting, the enemies don’t seem threatening enough, and the whole set up felt very pedestrian.

Previous vids have looked great though, but as we get closer to release date, I’d be hoping for things to start looking better, not worse.

Conversely, Prototype is shaping up very nicely :)

Infamous definitely needs more people on the streets. I know it’s supposed to be post-disaster, but it’s lonelier than a Wii version of Dead Rising out there.

And it doesn’t come with an HDMI cable either.

Could do with some other videos, and I doubt that is the full extent of the enemies, surely the only ones that we’ve seen.

To be honest I was meh on this game until i saw the levitating. That’s just too awesome for me to pass up in a game.

Maybe that will end up being a bad reason to buy the game. But I have tons of faith in gameplay variatio, when it comes to the Sly Cooper team.
