Whistleblower fired over 360 failure article

Saturday, 13th September 2008 07:10 GMT By Patrick Garratt

Microsoft has fired a testing contractor that participated in a Dean Takahashi feature about Xbox 360 hardware failures, reports VentureBeat, the site that originally published the piece.

Robert Delaware was the only source in the article to speak to Takahashi on the record, and in breach of his agreement with Microsoft. He’s now facing potential legal action.

“I don’t regret it,” he said in a phone call on Thursday. “I’ll fight it. If they want to come after me, bring it on.”

More through there. Good for you, Robert.

Hope he comes out of it OK. It does take guts to speak out under your real name. Not so bright of MS to pursue this either, as I’m sure gaming sites like this will continue to update us of the situation, offering readers a constant reminder of 360′s troubled hardware.

The guy who coined the term “Whistleblower” isn’t paid enough.
