In-game Dead Space footage is heavy on the action

Hmm more third person shooter than survival horror. Looks nice enough though. Nice lighting effects

There seems to be quite a lot going on there with inventory and items. I really like the look of it.

To many baddies. Not enough time to heighten tension or sense of danger.

Fuck sake. First Alone is a mess and now this. BLARGRG TOYS > PRAM

Love it. It’s not too fast and hectic thankfully, at least in that video, but I hope there are some long lulls in the action so we can really soak up that System-Shock-esque deserted space ship vibe.

Looks gorgeous too, and hopefully they haven’t skimped on story. I love the little animated features they’re doing, but I hope it doesn’t turn out to be one of those games that’s bookended by a bit of story at the beginning and the end and expects you to find your own motivation for plodding through the middle bit.

If there’s regular plot progression with a few surprises this could be excellent.

Hmm… curious. A bit worrying at first, but seemed a bit more interesting later on. It looks really slick, and the zero-gravity bit was a nice surprise. I’m not sure, though. Will need to see more. Could still just be a bug-hunt.

I’m q bit worried about spoiling it, to be honest. I really am enjoying the build up, and the cartoon stuff’s fantastic. I love the way they’re building around the game so the title itself isn’t the be-all and end-all. First time in ages I’ve been genuinely prepared to forgive a game any sin and say for definite, “I genuinely want to play this no matter what.”

It’s a bit more Resi 4 than I expected. I was seeing it as more Gears of War. There might be hope for it yet.

There’s a lot more action in it than I thought there would be. I’ll be interested to see how quickly it builds up to that level of intensity.
