Grasshopper Manufacture lead Goichi Suda has said Shadows of the Damned's vision of hell is less generic than Visceral's efforts in Dante's Inferno.
"I think the Hell that they have is really mainstream and standard," Suda told VG247 through a translator in a phone interview today.
"But I think our vision of Hell is really different from theirs. It would be very interesting as you play to see the difference."
Suda reiterated that Grasshopper's Hell is unique, and that he's looking forward to players comparing the two EA stablemates.
"Our version of Hell is really funny, and it's actually closer to you than what you envision as Hell.
"It's scary, but at the same time it's really fun to play, so I definitely want the player to see the difference between ours and [Visceral's]."
Look for our full interview with Suda51 over the next few days. Shadows of the Damned is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in June.
