Nintendo Switch: Every Game Coming in The March Launch Window

If you have a Switch, you probably want to know what you can play this month.

So you've waited in line at your local retail or tapped your foot impatiently waiting for the delivery guy to come to your doorstep. That effort has been rewarded! A brand-new Nintendo Switch is in your hands.

Now what are you going to be playing this month?

Many folks will probably be picking up The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but after you finish exploring the all-new Hyrule, what's next? Well we're here to help! Here's a list of all the Nintendo Switch games that are currently scheduled to release in the month of March.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

This is the flagship game of the Nintendo Switch launch. Nintendo offers up another grand adventure for Link, who wakes up in a new Hyrule 100 years after a dark calamity with no memory of what happened. Breath of the Wild is an amazing gaming experience in the biggest version of Hyrule ever. Fight, craft, explore, and solve puzzles, all in classic Legend of Zelda style. If you buy only one game at launch, this is it.

Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment

If Breath of the Wild is too modern for you and you're looking for something a little more "classic", look no further. Shovel Knight is Yacht Club Games' inaugural title. It's a loving homage to the best 2D platformers of the NES era, presented in the 8-bit style! Spectre of Torment is the game's latest full campaign and you can pick that up for $9.99 if you just want to dip your toes into the pond. A better deal is the Treasure Trove, which includes the original Shovel Knight game and the additional Plague of Shadows and Spectre of Torment campaigns for a cool $24.99. That's three awesome 2D platformers to tear into, all in a single package!

Snipperclips: Cut It Out Together!

One of the most interesting titles launching on the Nintendo Switch is Snipperclips. This puzzle game is meant to be played with 2-4 players, with everyone taking control of a colorful living shape. By overlapping shapes, you can cut off bits of your partner. You have to work together in order to cut each other into the right shape to solve each puzzle! Pop balloons, carry water, and dunk a basketball; it all seems simple, but trying to figure out how to do it will strain your brain in the most fun way possible.

1-2-Switch

Developer: Nintendo

1-2-Switch is a collection of mini-games designed by Nintendo to show players everything that the Joy-Cons can do. Unlike most of the other titles here, 1-2-Switch is meant to be played by facing each other, not the screen. It's a pure party game, letting you duel in the Wild West, milk a cow, or play some table tennis. It's a bit pricey for what it offers, but 1-2-Switch is a solid technological showcase for the Switch.

Fast RMX

In the spirit of Sony's WipeOut series comes some excellent futuristic anti-gravity racing action! The high-speed racing action will have you hovering above 30 tracks in science-fiction cities, preserved jungle habitats, arid deserts, and more. Fast RMX is as the name suggests, super-fast, running at 60 fps in portable and Docked modes. And when you're done racing alone, you can tackle splitscreen local multiplayer with up to 4 friends, or local/online multiplayer against 7 opponents!

Just Dance 2017

Ubisoft's Just Dance series comes to a new platform! The big selling point of the Switch version is the fact you you can now dance anywhere you want! The Joy-Cons track all your best dance moves, so you can take the Switch to work or school, put the Switch on a table, hand a Joy-Con to a friend, and dance the day away. The game features 40 great tracks and access to the Just Dance Unlimited library of other songs!

Super Bomberman R

Developer: Konami
Price: $49.99

It's been seven years since the last proper Bomberman title on any console and eight years since the last good one. Super Bomberman R is Konami's return to the classic franchise. The little dude in white and blue is back, bombing his way through a host of enemies. Super Bomberman R includes a full Story mode featuring Bomberman and his family, while also offering a Battle Mode with up to 8 players on a single console. Bomberman R also offers Battle Mode in online play! It's a bit pricey compared to the rest of the line-up, but it's a solid game.

I Am Setsuna

Developer: Tokyo RPG Factory

Square Enix brings Tokyo RPG Factory's homage to Chrono Trigger to a brand-new platform! This Japanese RPG places you in the role of a young girl named Setsuna, who's on a pilgrimage to sacrifice herself and save her home for the oppressive monster attacks that plague it. I Am Setsuna recalls the great JRPGs of the Super Nintendo era; if you didn't play it on PlayStation 4 or PC, now is your chance to take it with you!

Skylanders Imaginators

The Skylanders series continues with Skylander Imaginators! This time, players create their own Skylanders, with the help of figure representing the Senseis, elemental masters who will show you all their cool moves! With the Digital Library on the Switch version, you can access all of your available Skylander toys on-the-go. The combinations are endless, as long as you have the money for the figures!

Blaster Master Zero

Price: $9.99

Veteran platformer developer Inti Creates is taking on the 1988 NES classic with an all-new game. Blaster Master Zero starts from that original game, expanding it with new weapons, new levels, and new bosses. This is Blaster Master refined and improved, featuring HD Rumble and 2-player cooperative play! Are you ready to revisit a series lost to history?

Snake Pass

Snake Pass is a puzzle platforming adventure, where you take control of the snake Noodle as he makes his way through the world of Haven Tor. It's a beautiful game where you have to use the unique physics of snake movement to solve puzzles and progress. Are you up to the challenge?

Pocket Rumble

Pocket Rumble is a surprising little game. It's a kid-friendly 2D fighting game inspired heavily by the classic SNK fighters for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. Simple two-button controls make it easy for new players to get in on the action and the unique monochrome art style makes the game stand out. Pocket Rumble is meant to help players learn the in-and-outs of fighting games, so they can progress to the mind games and footsies of tournament and expert play.

Has Been Heroes

From the developer of Trine and Shadowgrounds comes Has Been Heroes. The title is a mix of strategy game and roguelike, pitting you team of heroes against a horde of monsters. You fight across three lanes, mixing up spells and attacks to create devastating combo attacks. Has Been Heroes features permadeath, so as you march forward, you have to worry about what's waiting in the next level! Each run in Has Been is different, so every game is a new experience.
