Ghostrunner 2 came out this month, and in case you somehow missed it, it's one of the most exciting action games to land on PC and consoles in a while. Who doesn't love rushing around a series of challenging missions as a cyber ninja, throwing shuriken and dodging bullets in slow motion? It's a game that sells itself.

Published by 505 Games and developed by the good folks over at One More Level, Ghostrunner 2 is the sequel that takes everything good about the original game and turns it to eleven. In it you get to explore more of the tower - filled to bursting with perilous dangers and treacherous gangs. You get to slide, grapple, slice, and dice your way through it all in proper Ghostrunner style, while meeting up with new and familiar faces who'll help you overcome any barrier thrown your way.
It's a game that offers a great selection of customisation - both for combat and cosmetics - so you can make the experience your own. Pick the right sword for you, adjust the settings to your preference, and shoot out into the world with katana in hand. The game adds no unnecessary roadblocks between you and the action - so you can jump right into the good stuff quickly for a high-intensity gaming session that respects your time and abilities.
There's plenty new on offer here too, of course. Perhaps most importantly is the motorbike which takes the spotlight in a selection of levels dedicated to its use. It may not sound too drastic a feature, but trust us when we say it takes the already exhilarating Ghostrunner experience and raises the bar.
We reviewed the game ahead of its release, and we were massive fans of what the game had to offer. In a year packed full fantastic games, Ghostrunner 2 is the only real product out there that gives you that unashamed skill-focused and hella stylish first-person action that everyone can enjoy. Even if you're middle-aged husk like Jim, there's plenty to love here.
