Bizarre: No more Geometry Wars on “current horizon”

Good morning everyone! It’s gonna be a fantastic day, right?

Not if you’re a Geometry Wars fan.

“It’s just a great thing having titles that people love, that they associate with our studio – and Geometry Wars is one of them,” level designer Peter Collier told VideoGamer. “It’s very close to a lot of fans’ hearts. I guess it’s just one of those things, that it’s a great and very proud feeling having something that the fans adore so much, but we don’t want to over-saturate it by carrying on with it. It’s may be something that we keep as something we love, and move on to other things, you know?”

“There’s nothing on the current horizon, but we can’t rule anything out,” he said when asked directly.

For now, we have to agree with Collier. Geometry Wars needs a break… so it can one day re-emerge as a gritty war shooter about gray shapes fighting a gray battle that’s not morally black or white. Because it’s gray.
