Rumor – UMvC3 expansion releasing in July
A NeoGAF user has posted a picture he snapped of a placeholder which popped up on the computers at the GameStop he works at. The placeholder states that eight new challengers will “join the fight” in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on July 3. The computer entry stated the DLC voucher can be purchased at GameStop for $14.99 and that on July 24, a packaged disc version will be released for $39.99 – which sounds like a re-release of the game with the added content to us. In response to the query of its legitimacy over Twitter, Capcom’s Ryota Niitsuma cryptically stated: “The DLC costumes are out, and for now that is all.” We’ll send a mail. Until we hear something back though, keep it tucked away as rumor.

Attacking is achieved by tapping, and Hyper Combos can be unleashed by selecting the gauge itself. UMvC glitches go monochrome, reverse controls
Shoryuken has posted a tutorial showing off how to trigger a couple of interesting bugs in UMvC. By combining Morrigan and Strider’s abilities, you can end up with one character alone on screen, turned 90 degrees to face the camera. Fiddle a bit more, and you can make the screen go black, and finally, your characters will be transported to what’s being called Reverse World – all controls backwards, animations on the wrong side, and a snowy-white environment. The glitch reportedly works only on the Xbox 360 version, with the PlayStation 3 just throwing a wobbly.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 draws anger from Spanish Royal House
According to Heraldo, Zarzuela Palace has been in touch with Koch Media, Spanish distributor of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, to warn of a possible copyright infringement with Magneto’s alternate costume. The outfit, which bears strong similarities to King Juan Carlos’s Captain General of the Armies uniform, was first seen in The Pulse: House of M Special, causing a legal tussle and subsequent apology from Marvel. Looks like nobody told Capcom, unfortunately.
Thanks, Kotaku.
