Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut for PS3 most pre-ordered game for Rising Star
Rising Star Games has announced that Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut for PS3 is its most pre-ordered game to-date. According to a statement given to MCV, the horror title’s pre-order number exceeded those of the Xbox 360 version tenfold. “The game has easily surpassed our expectations for day one orders,” said product marketing manager Yen Hau. “It further demonstrates that the cult status we built up for the game two years ago is still going strong and I’m absolutely overjoyed that PS3 owners can finally experience this gaming gem.” Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut released earlier this week in North America and is out today in the UK.

Deadly Premonition has had ‘no economic success’, confirms creator Swery
Deadly Premonition director Hidetaka Suehiro – also known as Swery65 – spent six years taking his strange cult title from concept to full release, but it has proved to be an economic failure, according to the man himself. Undeterred, he has expressed hope that his incoming Directors’ Cut release will bring the game to a new audience, and help fund a sequel.

Deadly Premonition designer Hidetaka Suehiro directing Lord of Apocalypse
Square Enix’s Lord of Apocalypse, a successor to Lord of Arcana, is in development from Access Games with Deadly Premonition designer Hidetaka Suehiro signed on to direct, it has been announced. The game, announced just before TGS will be made available for PSP and Vita on December 17 in Japan. It has not been announced for release in North America or Europe.
