Street Fighter X Tekken has received a new balancing patch from Capcom, although the developer hasn’t revealed much about what the update does besides making Ryu weaker. Capcom has also discussed the thorny issue of gems in the game.

Capcom’s announced the latest round of DLC for Street Fighter x Tekken is now available through Games for Windows Live; however, and “unforeseen error with the Valve submission process,” has caused a delay on the Steam release. Capcom said the ETA on Steam is now “early next week,” Meanwhile, as part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Street Fighter series, Street Fighter Devotion website has been updated with all sorts of information and goodies. Capcom has announced Street Fighter x Tekken will land on Vita in Japan October 25. Previously slated for “fall”, the game will also release in the US on October 23 and in Europe on October 2. We’ve also posted new shots and couple trailers for you below.

Capcom has announced patch 1.02 for Street Fighter x Tekken has been released on Steam and Games for Windows Live. The patch addresses the rollback and sound quality issues affecting online play, and also introduces the gem selector menu for quicker menu surfing. The next patch will go right into update 1.05, which should also address the freeze issue that occurs when the knife from Rolento’s Stinger hits a normal projectile. No exact date is set, but the team has already begun work on implementing the update into the PC version.

Capcom has confirmed Street Fighter x Tekken will release on iPhone this summer. The firm sent over some screenshots to give you an idea of what it will look like. The game will contain the same characters and fighting moves contained on the console disc, with controls optimized for your phone.
