S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat video is a bit creepy

A new video for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat shows off the irradiated Zone near the Chernobyl.
Looks like there are horrific anomalies in the landscape, with dangerous things lurking and lying in wait for you.
Spooky. Aim your weapon and don’t miss, because it apparently takes loads of bullets to kill whatever those things are.
It’s out this fall.

Call of Pripyat to provide “complete set of new locations” for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans

GSC’s Oleg Yavorsky has told RPS that STALKER followers can expect a full range of new environments in the next in the shooter series.
“We will present a complete set of new locations in Call of Pripyat,” said the developer.
“This includes the Pripyat river basin and its rusty fleet standing still for over 20 years now, the Kopachi village completely buried after the accident, Jupiter factory located on the outskirts of Pripyat, the railway station Yanov, and, to crown it all – an entire district of Pripyat, modeled in its real scope.
“Many players have repeatedly asked us to implement Pripyat in the game, so we decided to satisfy their wish.”
Yavorsky said the title will top both the vaunted original and battered sequel, Clear Sky.
“I think Call of Pripyat will be the most photo-realistic, and hence, atmospheric S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game of all three,” he said.
It’s out this autumn. There’s a full interview through there.

Rumor no more: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat confirmed

GSC Game World has announced it is indeed working on S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat for PC.
Rumored earlier in the month, the third title in the series is a stand-alone version that will continue the storyline from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Expect a new story, characters, side quests, interface, and a new A-Life system combining best-liked elements from the first two games.
Call of Pripyat is just the working title at the moment, so if it changes don’t blame us.
The game is set for an autumn release.

Rumour: New S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in works, Call of Pripyat for 2009 release

Anyone speak Russian? GSC apparently said this week that a new full new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game is in the works, and that a new add-on – subtitled Call of Pripyat – is to release later this year.
From this GGL report:
In an online conference earlier this week, [GSC president, Sergey] Grigorovitch was asked whether the April 2009 calendar featuring the words ‘Call of Pripyat’ in Russian was an April Fools’ joke.
He replied that this was not a joke and would be the name of the second expansion. He added that this new expansion will be released later this year. Furthermore, a full S.T.A.L.K.E.R. title is also in development, although there’s currently no information on when we will hear more about this.
Our Russian’s a bit rusty. We’ll get a comment on this next week.
