Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will feature the Pyro, Heavy, and Spy from Team Fortress 2, SEGA has announced. The characters were first leaked for the title back in November. Shogun of the Total War series and the Manager Man from the Football Manager series are also included.It will be made available for PC digital download on January 31 for £19.99/$29.99/€24.99. A patch for the Wii U version of Sonic & All-stars Racing Transformed has been completed and sent to Nintendo for certification, Sumo Digital’s Steve Lycett confirmed on NeoGAF. The update should address issues with the Boost Challenge and Ninja Tag which were introduced in the first patch.

Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed has a demo available on XBL Marketplace today. You can check availability in your region here. The racer lands on Wii U November 18 in the US and November 30 in Europe, and is out today in Europe on DS, PC, PS3, Vita and Xbox 360. It arrives on the aforementioned consoles December 11 in the US. Review scores were posted for the game earlier today.

A representative for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed developer Sumo Digital has told Eurogamer that the Wii U’s graphics capabilities are “on-par” with current consoles, “or maybe even better”. There has been much speculation over the upcoming console’s capacities, as Nintendo has kept very quiet on its innards. We’re still waiting on launch details but expect the Wii U by the end of the year. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is due on 3DS, PlayStation 3, Vita and Xbox 360 in November, with the PC and Wii U release undated.

Sega has advised us it’s going to front nine games at PAX Prime in Seattle between August 31 and September 2. Visit booths 242 and 252 to check out Aliens: Colonial Marines; Double Fine’s latest effort The Cave; Arkedo’s Hell Yeah! SEGA has announced the Bonus Edition of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which will contain the exclusive OutRun Bay track, an emoticon sticker pack, and Metal Sonic in the exclusive Metal Sonic Mod Pack. The Bonus Edition is available as a pre-order bonus while supplies last. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will release November 20 on PS3, Vita, and Xbox 360.
