Harmonix is finished with weekly DLC for Rock Band Unplugged

Harmonix has confirmed to Joystiq that weekly DLC for Rock Band Unplugged is finished.
Apparently, it has “run through [its] planned slate” and the firm is “very pleased with the performance of the Rock Band Unplugged game on PSP, the Rock Band PSP bundle and PSPgo starter kit” which has 100 tracks through the disc and DLC combined.
Currently, the team is hard at work on the Rock Band Network, console DLC, and “unannounced future projects.”
Future “event releases” are a possibility, but weekly DLC is finito.

America’s PSPgo early adoption deal is Rock Band Unplugged demo
Americans that take the plunge with a new PSPgo handset are to be given a free Rock Band Unplugged demo along with the hardware, according to this Kotaku piece.
Which is great. If it wasn’t for the fact that Europeans get a free copy of GT PSP.
The US offer’s a bit more than a standard demo, thankfully. It comes with five songs and it compatible with any tracks you buy from the PS Store.
But still.

PSP and PS3 versions of Rock Band will not make beautiful music together

Or any sort of music, for that matter. Speaking with 1UP, Harmonix said that the upcoming pint-sized version of Rock Band won’t be able to interact with its bigger, more plastic-intensive brother.
Does this mean we’ll have to buy new songs twice — once on each platform? That sounds a bit like highway robbery, if you ask us.
Guess the lack of money-gobbling peripherals kind of makes up for that, though. And really, we’re grateful to anyone who doesn’t glue their game to a tiny, multi-colored hand torture device. Have to keep things in perspective, after all.

Rock Band: Unplugged PSP detailed by GameStop

GameStop has spilled the beans on Rock Band: Unplugged for PSP.
Seems there’ll be a single-player World Tour with 24 cities, supports downloadable and an in-game Rock Band Music Store, but no mention is made of online or multiplayer modes.
No mention has been made of a peripheral along the lines of the one included with Guitar Hero on DS. Looks like a button-masher at this point.
Unplugged will contain 40 master tracks, and so far we know of 15. Most are already Rock Band staples, with only four new ones revealed so far.
Here’s the list:
- 3 Doors Down – Kryptonite (new)
- AFI – Miss Murder (new)
- Alice in Chains – Would (new)
- Billy Idol – White Wedding, Part 1
- Blink-182 – What’s My Age Again?
- Bon Jovi – Livin’ On A Prayer
- Boston – More Than A Feeling
- Foo Fighters – Everlong
- Jackson 5 – ABC (new)
- Modest Mouse – Float On
- Nirvana – Drain You
- Pearl Jam – Alive
- The Police – Message in a Bottle
- Weezer – Buddy Holly
- The Who – Pinball Wizard
It’s down for a June 9 release.
