Namco’s aired the debut English speaking trailer for Ni No Kuni. The Level-5 and Studio Ghibli RPG debuted in the west for the first time last night in Las Vegas at a Namco Bandai event, with L5 boss Akihiro Hino making an appearance to show the game. It really is looking quite a stunner. Get it below.
It’s out on PS3 in Europe and North America in Q1 2013.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be released in North America, missing its original release estimate for winter 2012 in the region. Still, that’s only a few months as winter doesn’t officially start until December 21. The new release window will put it in line with the European time frame announced in February. Namco Bandai’s announced it’s releasing Ni No Kuni for PS3 in Q1 2013 in Europe, a major shove from merely this year.

Level-5 has said it has a number of possibilities in mind for the Ni no Kuni franchise, and doesn’t plan on the PS3 title Wrath of the White Witch being a one-off.

Level 5′s announced this morning that Ni No Kuni will come to Europe and US next year via Namco Bandai.

The PS3 version of Ni no Kuni in Japan won’t have the physical spell book that came with the DS version last year. Instead, as mentioned in the form of two information videos for the game, the book will actually come in digital form in-game instead for Triple owners. Level 5′s dropped a new trailer of Ni No Kuni ahead of the game’s release in November. The trailer of the RPG, being made in collaboration with Studio Ghibil of Spirited Away and Whisper of the Heart fame, looks absolutely stunning. Someone should pick this up immediately and localise it for the west.

This week’s Famitsu has dropped details of a special hardware bundle for the PS3 version of Ni No Kuni in Japan. The Level-5 and Studio Ghibli collaboration, which first released on DS way back, will release in November, and will now get a special bundle to celebrate the release. The hardware, known as “The Magical Edition,” comes in a white and gold flavour for ¥33,780 (£270/$440).
