Napoleon: Total War – Heroes of The Napoleonic Wars, Imperial Eagle Pack now available on Steam
SEGA has announced two new DLC unit packs are now available for Napoleon: Total War. The DLC, previously available only as part of Imperial Edition, the Heroes of The Napoleonic Wars unit pack contains 10 battlefield units which includes “the veteran cavalrymen of the 15th British Hussars, the close-combat specialists of the 1st East Prussian Grenadier Battalion, and the deadly Moscow Musketeers.” The later can perform volleys of fire before making bayonet charges. Also available is the Imperial Eagle Pack, containing new units that were previously available only with the original boxed-copy launch, or as pre-order extras. With it, players can field 11 units, such as the Grand Battery of The Convention, and Great Britain’s HMS Elephant, and two brand-new units: Austria’s Archduke Ferdinand Cuirassiers, and Russia’s Lifeguard Cossacks, who specialise in hit-and-run cavalry charges.
Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars and the Imperial Eagle Pack are available now on Steam for £1.99/$3.25/€1.99.

Napoleon: Total War free-to-play this weekend, 50% off
SEGA and The Creative Assembly have announced Napoleon: Total War will be free to play starting today, and through Sunday, June 17 to mark the anniversary of Waterloo. The game can also be purchased for 50% the usual price until Monday, June 18 through Steam.

Creative Assembly’s Mark O’Connell has told VG247 the Total War games won’t be coming to consoles unless it absolutely can “replicate the entire experience” that is found for the series for PC.

Napoleon: Total War Imperial Edition announced

Creative Assembly has announced Napoleon: Total War – Imperial Edition.
The Imperial Edition houses the game, a wall chart full of Napoleon history, a special unlock code for 10 exclusive units (online and standard edition have that bit too), and five exclusive units under the Elite Regiment bundle.
Pricing and availability for the Imperial Edition has yet to be announced for the US.
Game’s out in February, and UK details on this edition are posted below the break.

New screens and art surface for Napoleon: Total War

Sega’s released new art and screens Napoleon: Total War.
Four screens are self explanatory, while the five bits of artwork show off the French Cuirassier, Brunswick Infantry, British Heavy Cavalry Officer, the Black Watch and the Austrian Uhlan.
In the game, not only will you be able to step into the diminutive shoes of the famous general, but those who opposed him as well.
Neato.
Game’s out for PC during the first half of 2010.

Creative Assembly chats a bit about Napoleon: Total War

Creative Assembly community manager, Kieran Brigden, chatted a bit with BigDownload during GamesCom and discussed the development of Napoleon: Total War.
Brigden also discusses content by way of some of Napoleon’s career battles, and the ability to play against Napoleon as one of the opposing countries.
Game’s out during the first half of 2010.

Napoleon: Total War announced by Sega
Sega’s announced Napoleon: Total War for PC at GamesCom.
It takes place as you get the chance to control Napoleon Bonaparte’s army as he fights through Egypt, Russia and Italy in three separate campaigns before the ultimate battle – the Duke of Wellington and The Battle of Waterloo.
They’ve sent us the first screens as well as the PR. They’re after the jump.
It’s out February 2010.
