SEGA has announced extra details for the multiplayer mode in Napoleon: Total War.

Included in the Campaign Mode, multiplayer allow players to either stop Napoleon’s advance, or compete against others to better achievements.

Each of the three theatres of war from Napoleon’s career - Italy, Egypt and Europe - are available out of the box in two-player turn-based online games.

Drop-in Battles were also added. When starting a single-player campaign, players are presented with an option to allow the mode, which has opponents being controlled in real-time by an online adversary.

Campaign Multiplayer was made possible thanks to the Beta, which saw over 15,000 participants.

The Beta started on December 7 and is still ongoing.

Napoleon: Total War hits shelves on February 23, along with the Imperial Edition.
