Brutal Legend is going to fucking shit your pants in awesomeness.

You know it. We know it. Fuck, everyone does! So lets all bask in the glow of a brand new multiplayer trailer released by EA, which you can watch over at Eurogamer Germany.

It’s out near the end of the month for PS3 and 360. Demo is out now on the PS Store and Live.

The ESRB has rated Brutal Legend M for Mature.

What naughty things happen in the game that got the rating? Blood and gore, intense violence, partial nudity, suggestive themes and strong language.

The BBFC rated it a 15 here in the UK not too long ago.

Episode Four of Brutal Thoughts with Jack Black has arrived, promoting Brutal Legend.

Its looks amped, bangin’, spiffy, righteous, and other terminology uttered in the eighties.

Brutal Legend is Jack Black. Jack Black is Brutal Legend. Apparently, though, Double Fine boss Tim Schafer never thought Herr Black would be interested in the title.

“We didn’t think we’d get someone of that calibre in the game,” Schafer said, talking at EA’s spring showcase in London.

“We were just inspired by him. When I saw School of Rock it reminded me of how I’d wanted to make this game for years: just that character, and how sincere he was, how much he loved metal.

“When we cast the voice, we were like, ‘We don’t want to get an imitator. That would just be stupid.’ Then we heard through secondhand information that he really liked Psychonauts, and that gave us the courage to get in touch with him. We pitched him the game, and he loved it. And he signed up.”

It could have been Lemmy, kids.

Brutal Legend ships for PS3 and 360 this October.

Double Fine has released some concept art for Brutal Legend.

You’ll notice that the main character originally looked a lot like Lemmy instead of Jack Black.

Either one would have been fine we reckon, but Lemmy is a whole lot scarier.

Following confirmation that God of War III will be shown for the first time at the VGAs on December 14, a press release has confirmed that Jack Black’s going to host the show, and the Brütal Legend gameplay will also premiere at the event.

Fight Night Round 4, Mafia II, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 2, Watchmen: The End is Nigh and “a special Gears Of War 2 announcement” are all queued up for the show, so you have to be watching at 9.00pm PST.
