InSANE, filmaker Guillermo del Toro’s trilogy of horror games, has attracted interest from a major player.

inSANE, the action-horror title from Guillermo del Toro, is back in development at a new studio according to a Bloody Disgusting report. Formerly in the works with Volition, THQ cancelled the game in August. According to del Toro, the first studio he shopped the game to gave it the greenlight. The studio in question has not been announced, although del Toro has previously voiced his affection for Valve, and the first entry in the game isn’t slated to hit retail until 2015 at the earliest. Danny Bilson, THQ core games boss, has just hinted that at new inSane stuff for the Video Game Awards at the end of the year. He made the remark in an interview with GameTrailers’ Geoff Keighley, leading into MS’s E3 press conference. inSane, a horror collaboration between Volition and director Guilliemero Del Toro, was announced at last year’s VGAs.
