FFXIII-2 director Motomu Toriyama has teased Famitsu readers by stating that there may be more content coming to the game.

FFXIII-2 Requiem of the Goddess DLC hits May 15
The Requiem of the Goddess DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 will release on May 15, according to PlayStation Taiwan. The previously announced content is Lightning-centric, and also contains White and Black Mage outfits for Serah and Noel. As previously announced, the Arena of Eternity featuring Snow and Valfodr-centered content, also releases on May 15. Thanks, Gematsu.

Noel sports Ezio’s outfit in FFXIII-2 DLC video
Noel can now play dress up as Ezio Auditore in Final Fantasy XIII-2. The content went live in the US yesterday, and now the UK can now purchase the swank Assassin’s Creed outfit for 240 MS Points on Xbox 360 and for £1.59 pm PSN. There’s also the two new Coliseum opponents, Gilgamesh and PuPu, for 320 MS Points/£2.39 and 160 MS Points or £1.19, respectively. Quick Shots: FFXIII-2 Mass Effect, Ultros and Typhon DLC screened
Some screenshots of the Mass Effect-themed Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC have popped up online and are posted below along with shots of the Ultros and Typhon colosseum battle DLC. It’s expected to go live in Japan next week and will be released in the west as well. Thanks, AGB.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Lightning & Amodar DLC now available on Xbox 360
Square has announced the Opponent: Lightning & Amodar DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 is available on XBL for 240 MSP, and will be released in Europe as part of the PSN update tomorrow for £1.59/€ 1.99. The Coliseum Battle allows players to “pit their wits” against Lieutenant Amodar, a member of Cocoon’s military division the Guardian Corps; and Lightning, previously a member of the same unit. Players who best the duo in battle will be able to add both characters to their party. The bow weapon for Serah called “Azrael” is also available exclusively for Xbox 360 for 80 MSP. More well-known characters and monsters from past Final Fantasy titles will be making an appearance “soon.” New screens for the DLC are posted below.

Quick Shots: Final Fantasy XIII-2 screens show a gorgeous game
Square Enix has released a new batch of screenshots to celebrate the launch of Final Fantasy XIII-2 in the UK today, and as one would expect from a FF game, they are drop dead gorgeous – even if they are just showing combat. Say whatever you will about the series’ gameplay or storylines over the years, there’s no denying it has always been one of the more visually pleasing franchises out there. This time out, the sequel to FFXIII puts players in the shoes of Lightning’s sister Serah as she a Noel, a hunter from the future, journey across the boundaries of time and ultimately come face-to-face with antagonist Caius Ballad and his interesting hair decor. It’s out on PS3 and Xbox 360.

New FFXIII-2 update introduces Facebook support
Square Enix releases Final Fantasy XIII-2 for PS3 and 360 in the UK and Europe today, with some decent scores to boot ahead of the launch. But those who buy it will already be greeted with a new update once they boot up. Update 1.03, according to RPG Site’s Erren Van Duine, has introduced Facebook support. Pressing R3 on the PS3 version whilst in Historia Crux mode will send a status update to your page.

FFXIII-2 Lightning Coliseum DLC launching in Japan next week
Square Enix has announced it’ll release the second DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2s Coliseum mode on February 7 in Japan. The new content, which will cost ¥300 on PSN and 240 MS points on Xbox Live Marketplace, will see you fight against Lightning in her FFXIII Guardian Corps uniform, as well as her Corps partner Lt Amoda.
The RPG sequel launches in the US today, with a UK and EU release on Friday. Thanks, Andriasang.

FFXIII-2 CES trailer goes cut-scene, action heavy
GT’s gone live with the CES trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2 ahead of the game’s official western launch later this month. The video, which is packed with cut-scenes and heavy setpieces in the game that have and haven’t been seen before, was introduced by director Motomu Toriyama and producer Yoshinori Kitase at CES for Spike.
Get the video below. It’s out in the US at the end of the month and on February 3 in Europe for PS3 and 360. A demo is out now on 360 and US PSN, with it launching on EU PSN later.
