Backbone Entertainment confirms layoffs
Backbone Entertainment has shed an undisclosed number of staff from its California-based HQ, while parent-company Foundation 9 has released a statement assuring that its upcoming projects, Dance Central 3 and Midway Arcade Originals, remain unaffected.

The Simpsons Arcade Game pops up on ACB website
One of the better Simpsons games to grace consoles may finally be heading to XBLA, if listing on the Australian Classification Board website is any indication. Dug up by XBLAfans, the listing pegs Backbone Entertainment as handling the current-gen port for Konami which is good news considering the bang-up job the studio did with X-Men Arcade. When Joystiq asked Konami for comment on the listing, the publisher said it had “no information at this time”. Hopefully, they will be more forthcoming on the matter soon, because our fingers are itching at the very thought of it.
