Rainbow Moon sequel Rainbow Skies gets first gameplay footage

Rainbow Skies is a follow-up to Rainbow Moon, the RPG currently available through the PlayStation Plus Instant Collection.

Rainbow Skies developer SideQuest Studios has released first footage of the sequel, which you can check out below.

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, Rainbow Skies is set in a new world with an unrelated story. It concerns the adventures of Damion, Layne and Ashly when they are "caught in the deadly crossfire of two rival super powers".

New features include monster taming and combining skill attacks, but "the gameplay and structure that are a trademark of the series" remain the team's core priority. Bigger is better, apparently, so Rainbow Skies will have ten times the environments and content of Rainbow Moon.

Rainbow Skies is coming to PS3 and Vita in 2015.
