Quantic Dream's new project is "very different" from Beyond: Two Souls, Heavy Rain

Whatever Sony favourite Quantic Dream has in store for the PlayStation 4, it won't be overly familiar to fans of the French studio's past releases.

We have a small team working on this next-gen project, on the tech, on the concepts and art. It's very very exciting, something different from Beyond and Heavy Rain; building on the same grounds, but in a very different way," David Cage told GameInformer, as transcribed by CVG.

"People should expect to be surprised again, because this is really what we try to do with each game - not give people what they expect, [but] give them something they want maybe without knowing this is what they want.

We had a big chat to David Cage recently, about how his games fit in with the rest of the games industry, and what makes games so special as a story-telling medium.

Quantic Dream's latest, PS3 exclusive Beyond: Two Souls, is due in early October.
