Namco claims they’ll port Soul Calibur II HD to Wii U if enough people ask nicely

Sunday, 22nd September 2013 04:51 GMT By Phil Owen

Games Radar is reporting that they have been told by Namco that the upcoming HD verison of Soul Calibur II, currently slated for PSN and Xbox Live, could be ported to Wii U if they think there is enough demand. They also said fans can demonstrate demand by bugging @hoshino_calibur about it on Twitter. Just, like, don’t threaten him.

I want this classic for Vita – it’s a perfect fit.

    1# You were fast.

If Vita users ask we could get some too?

It would be pretty fucking funny if more Vita users than Wii U users asked them for it. I encourage all of you with a Vita to do so.

A wii u version would be better than a vita version because the entire point of wanting this game back on a nintendo console is getting to play as link again in the soul caliber universe

^ Guest characters just spoil the vibe of the game. Link felt really out of place – just like Spawn or *shudders* the Stars Wars characters in IV.

The director did comment on the Vita version (in the same way as the Wii U), though the Zelda fans will no doubt drown out the Vita requests.

I love SCII – there are plenty of console options – it has one chance to go portable. Let’s hit up that twitter!
