Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist is the live-action TV series from the same team behind the infamous Street Fighter: Legacy short that took YouTube by storm three years ago. The same production team has now taken the project to Kickstarter for funding.

At the time of writing the Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist Kickstarter campaign has made £1,147 of its £625,000 goal with 25 days left on the clock, and is headed up by film-maker Joey Ansah.

There’s the original Street Fighter: Legacy short to refresh your memory:

What do you think?

SF Legacy sucked! I remember how they hyped it up and everyone was so excited for it.
Upon it’s release time, SF Beginner’s End came out and that wow’ed me!
me thinking Legacy would be better, and it turns out lame.

Just a waste of money just like HollyWood.
    Beginner’s End was sick.

hopefully they will get inspiration from MK mini series

The series will not deliver, the fact they had no fight choreographer on the film set in Bulgaria and hired a D.O.P and Cameraman that have no experience in shooting action full stop and everyone ended up having to choreograph the fights at will is ridiculous, This was made to boost the ever growing ego of Joey Ansah who publicly acts like he is some big shot hollywood director, I think this becomes clear when you see nearly all promo photos and videos feature him and all credit seems to only go to himself. Joey himself plays Akuma instead of a real actor, Joey would have been better off spending the money on a name and sticking to staying behind the camera, I have a Japanese friend who told me Joey was even trying to teach other actors Japanese on set instead of letting the Japanese simply teach Japanese, It would appear he just wants credit for everything, I have already heard nasty rumours about this guy and until now ignored them all, I was a fan of his but after this i have no time for this so called Director and his films anymore and by Joey casting himself as Akuma i have lost every single mark of respect i had for this guy as a film maker. It would seem from posts and photos they used Red Epics, Are you serious? All that money and they hire Red Epics to shoot action on, A great example of Joey’s young amateur mind as a film maker getting taken over my nonsense, simply going with what everyone else uses, I bet he owns an I phone to. This one mans ego will hopefully soon be his downfall. I’ve read the Producer re-mortgaged her house to help finance the project and has put her neck on the line so i hope Joey is happy with hiring a crew who cannot shoot action to the point they are re shooting scenes in the UK that did not get shot correctly while shooting abroad. Machinima are said to have financed the series and needed help from a multi billionaire investor who clearly did not see it as an amazing opportunity if Jackie, Jacky who ever and what ever her name is had to put her house on the line as a producer, Not cool.
