FIFA 13 was best-selling PS3 retail game of 2012

FIFA 13 has topped the physical UK PS3 chart for 2012 and has emerged as the year’s top-selling title on Sony’s format, giving Call of Duty and Far Cry 3 the boot.

MCV reports that – according to scorekeeper GfK Chart-Track, FIFA 13 fended off challenges from other titles. Here’s their full top ten for the year:

1. FIFA 13 – EA
2. Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Activision
3. Assassin’s Creed III – Ubisoft
4. Hitman Absolution – Square Enix
5. Need for Speed: Most Wanted – EA
6. Far Cry 3 – Ubisoft
7. FIFA 12 – EA
8. FIFA Street – EA
9. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Activision
10. Resident Evil 6 – Capcom

Seems the UK still really likes FIFA.

What’s your take on the stats?

Lots of Sony fans like to praise how good the Sony exclusives are, yet not one single PS3 exclusive is on that list. Go figure.

@3
Since when have sales got anything to do with goodness of a game? :)

What were the big Sony exclusives last year? LBP Karting, All-Stars thing, Starhawk? The good Sony exclusives last year were PSN titles, Journey, Unfinished Swan. For me the strength of Sony exclusives is the support they give to ones which aren’t going to be big sellers.

Haha looks like FIFA 12 was selling copies right up until the FIFA 13 release.

Despite spending quite a lot of my pocket money on PS3 games, I can (somewhat proudly) say that I haven’t spent a penny on any of THOSE games.

What a fucking shitty uninspired list. ::sigh::
