Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper to have over 130 characters

The already expansive cast of Warriors Orochi 3 has been further expanded for the Wii U’s Hyper edition.

A new trailer, embedded below and spotted by Siliconera, says the game will have 130 characters.

Warriors Orochi is a crossover spin-off to the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series, but also features original franchise characters and guests form other Tecmo Koei games. Hyper includes Momiji and Rachel from Ninja Gaiden, for example.

Other additions since the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version include some extreme play modes, like battling an all Lu Bu army. I’m not crying. I have something in my eye.

Warriors Orochi is a Wii U launch title – November 18 in the US and November 30 in Europe – and allows for two-play splitscreen co-op, including with one player on TV and another on the Game Pad, which is pretty sweet.
