Alien Breed invades PlayStation Store, Vita and Android devices

It’s 1991 all over again. Team17 has announced the remake of top-down shooter Alien Breed is now available through the PlayStation Store, PS Vita and Android devices.

The Worms developer has installed two different modes for buyers to enjoy: Classic and Enhanced.

Like most remakes released for digital download, Classic mode will try to replicate the original title identically through sketchy graphics, music and thumb-busting controls. Players who choose the Enhanced mode will see a few of the corners edged off for a slightly more modern feel.

This version also includes eight new levels, four of which are completely original and link with previous Alien Breed levels.

Definitely worth a punt at the measly fee of £3.19.
