Of Orcs and Men screenshots are no joke
Cyanide aren’t bothered by the jovial orcs we are all used to slaughtering. The team’s upcoming Of Orcs and Men RPG takes on a darker tone, indicating this isn’t going to be all about magic spells and hunting special flowers.
The recently released screenshots intrigue. Players will take on the role of Arkail as he tries to end enslavement and human dominance by launching an attack on the Emperor.
Take a look below:

The fact that it’s a different take on a fantasy RPG intrigues me and judging by those screenshots it does look rather promising…it’s a shame that Cynaide’s record so far will most likely prove me wrong.

I can’t stop thinking the orcs look like Hulk…

Interestingly, Orc: Vengeance played with this concept in a pleasing way. That’s an iPad action RPG title, but the setting is intriguing. Rather than having orcs versus humans, per se, it’s orcs versus all the deadly things humans left behind. See, with all their large-scale warring, humanity’s gone extinct in that setting and they’re nothing more than a distant memory. That’s an intriguing idea.
I don’t know why we don’t play with that idea more, really. Where we’re playing a rather odd species who’re working their way through humanity’s ruin and rubble, dealing with the problems they created, and so on.
Anyway, that said, this does look good. And it’s always nice to see things from another perspective. If indeed this is another perspective.
