Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter multiplayer going free-to-play

From May 15, you'll be able to jump into the multiplayer side of Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter for the low price of no money.

Shack News reports the free offering will include both versus and survival modes, namely Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Instant Kill, Last Man Standing, My Burden, Survival, and Team Survival.

No word on how Croteam intends to make money of it, but perhaps it will tempt you to try the single-player offering or lash out on the extra content. Speaking of which - a new pack of DLC is also expected on May 15.

Legend of the Beast has three campaign missions, three survival mode maps, and three versus mode maps, and costs $4.99.
