Jane Jensen launches new, crowd-funded developer

Legendary designer Jane Jensen, of Gabriel Knight and Gray Matter fame, has launched an independent studio to make the kind of adventure games she wants to write.

The studio is called Pinkerton Road, and will be community supported. It's expected to produce a number of third-person adventure games each year.

By supporting the developer through Kickstarter, players essentially pre-purchase one or even all the games the studio produces over a stated period.

Pinkerton already has a couple of concepts in the works, the first of which is expected to launch in March 2013. If enough funding is raised, the team expects to produce another, and supporters can vote on which one is built.

Check out the pitch video below, and visit the project's funding hub for more information.

Thanks, Blue.
