Epic developing five new games, enthused about PC as a “primary platform”
Put those speculation caps on, folks. Thanks to Epic’s Mike Capps, we now have a mystery on our hands. Five new games that aren’t Gears of War. What ever could they be?
Oh, and if you’re a PC gamer, we imagine you’ll enjoy this bit.
“It’s nice to target the PC as a primary platform again,” Capps said during a Gamescom presentation, “not just for ports.”
According to Eurogamer, the games are in “varying” stages of development. Beyond that, Capps was understandably tight-lipped. Some fuel for your speculative fires, though: For one, that gorgeous “Samaritan” tech demo from GDC is playable. Also, Epic’s fresh off an incredibly fruitful love affair with iOS. We doubt it’ll leave those extremely fertile soils undisturbed for long.

Never been a huge fan of Epic’s games, I would like to like one of their games but I just can’t, hopefully they can change that soon.

They have no experience in that and they don’t have man power to do it and thats good.
Because these guys are kings in TPS and FPS games.
If UT4 will be announced, there will be like screams all over the world

Hopefully if they make a UT4 they’ll not make it shit. Also possibly deliver it how TF2 was delivered, ie, smaller base game that they keep updating over time.

@3: Dead on the money. If I were a betting man, these are the exact bets that I would make. Epic’s “new IP” is undoubtedly based on either People Can Fly’s new game or on the Samaritan tech demo.

That Samaritan Game for the latest graphics card PC’s would be awesome. Lets finaly see a game that only High end PC gamers can play. Lets bring shame to consoles. If Epic are any smarter they’d make it and shame all parties from consoles to rival game engines.
