300,000 players join Age of Conan: Unchained in first month

Funcom's confirmed that 300,000 players have joined Age of Conan: Unchained in the MMO's first month of free-to-play activity.

The company says that server activity on the game quadrupled in its F2P launch, while game revenues doubled. 2 million people are now subscribed to AoC.

Game director Craig Morrison said he was "delighted to see the success" of Unchained.

"We have been working hard to show that we are one of the best, and most unique, MMO experiences on the market. Our focus now is to deliver even more content and new experiences to players, starting with the movie tie-in Adventure Pack that is launching in the near future!"

The Unchained team are currently working on an adventure pack, called Savage Coast of Turan, that will tie-in with the new upcoming movie.
