Famitsu leak teases Resident Evil Revival Selection

This week’s inevitable Famitsu leak has turned up something quite exciting: the mysterious Resident Evil Revival Selection.

According to Andriasang‘s sources, the Japanese magazine’s leaked contents page reveals four pages devoted to the previously unannounced game, which will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Since the initial leak, reports have appeared claiming the game’s full title is Resident Evil Revival Selection HD Remastered Version.

It is said to contain both Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4, with the latter including the PlayStation 2 bonus content, Separate Ways (known in Japan as Another Order), a minigame featuring recurring character Ada Wong.

No new content or gameplay modes have been revealed.

Earlier this month, French OPM teased the coming issue’s cover, which featured artwork from Resident Evil: Outbreak.

Well, I’ll be a son of a gun. Hope Pat’s been hitting the French vocab books.

Capcom are not adverse to remaking the Resident Evil series, having re-released the original as a Director’s Cut as well as for Gamecube and Wii.

Hope it’s Code: Veronica X and RE4 in a single Blu-ray disc/HD-DVD.

well Andriasang was acting retarded!

4 page coverage of the game and he’s acting as if he doesn’t know wtf Famistu is talking about:/

Why would they want to be reviving old classic? because Capcom are greddy companies that loves milking franchise.

Just reboot the franchise man!

But I love Code Veronica and RE4, two best RE games.

I hope it’s not just a port and Code Veronica playes like RE4. But I doubt it, it might just be a HD remake.

Code Veronica would translate well in to HD, there are no pre-rendered backdrops or anything like that so it could be made to support 16:9 widescreen. I finished it again recently on PCSX2 emulator and I can tell you it looks goooood at 720p ;)

I’ve updated the article with more information.

@2 Andriasang doesn’t have the magazine yet. The contents page was leaked showing four pages devoted to the game.

anything but not CV, worst game ever made. I’d rather play even Dead Aim again.. idiotic plot, pointless retarded craploads of dialogues, dull locations, repetitive depressing clumsy gameplay, lame bosses and shitty graphics.

here is hope re4 will have move support.
if not im not sure if im interessted.
A remake of RE1-3 would be amazing as well as silent hill remakes. but due to super super ancient controll schemes it would mean they have to redo almost everything. with analog stick movement the zombies would be way less frightening which kills the game. So they would not only have to redo the assets but the whole design of the game(play). that imo almost completly rules out a hd remake of those titles :(

Given the recent standard practice of “trilogies” I’m hoping it’s RE4, RE:Code Veronica, and RE1 (Gamecube remake) all redone in widescreen HD.

Resident Evil REmake and Resident Evil Zero (Gamecube titles) are FULLY playable on Dolphin Emulator.

Use this thread for guides on how to get them running properly. If its Code Veronica you want then its PCSX2 you use.
