Hulst: Killzone 3 is Guerrilla’s first “veteran” project

Speaking of progress between titles, Guerrilla Games co-founder Herman Hulst said Killzone 3 was the studio’s first offering as a veteran developer.

“We always had an extremely junior team compared to some of the competition that had very veteran teams, usually US-based,” Hulst told Gamespot.

“This was the first time we were actually able to do a project where the vast majority was veteran game developers, and that makes a big difference.

“You require fewer people to come up with new things and to develop through with the required level of polish. That was probably the single biggest change for us–to have that team ready.”

Hulst commented that having Killzone 2′s base to work from aided Killzone 3s development markedly.

“Initially we actually said, ‘Let’s not even go too deeply into technological improvements. Let’s focus on the variety. Let’s theme every level nicely and differently.’

“I think one of the biggest gains over Killzone 2 was that it has such different environments, pacing, and gameplay–that’s what we wanted to focus on initially. And, just the guys that we have on the team, they started developing, optimizing, and finding new ways to create more variety and more feature-driven gameplay.”

Don’t you just love it when my name gets brought up and an article has been sitting on the site for days and I haven’t made or contributed a single post in it. I laugh at you losers because you truly have no lives :D But keep my spirit alive even when I do take off the site for months at a time and you all miss and question my whereabouts.

Thats the difference between me and a shit head like you Xino. SO keep aspiring to be like me one day kid.

See I like crysis and tea. Erth would be. A lot better if he wouldn’t have admitted to. Purposely trolling. And, generally always against kz3 and sony. I haven’t seen him troll anywhere else. Sometimes you get close to cool xino and then…. someone just flips your switch. Its pretty sad because I remember when I first started posting mid last year I had a few people who flipped my switch. I remember them too oddly enough.lol but I quickly let it go.

Dude just let it go if someone disagrees with you let it be. I know you can rise above it.

@53 to me that reads like “dont be critical of my personal preference but its ok to give shit to others with another preference” its ok for some but not for others.
