The game reveals are always cool to be honest, the awards, bleh, no one cares about games industry awards.

@8 The game reveals are usually minuscule, but the actual Spike awards are the worst thing imaginable for the face of gaming. How does this bullshit carry on? By giving talentless B-list tit flashers like Megan Fox accolades for daring to come near a computer game, and by having categories literally of the form ‘Best X SPONSORED BY DEW!’. It’s a view of the games industry that perpetuates less the view that it’s for kids or nerds, more that it’s for 17 year old proto-dropouts with suspicious stains on their tracksuit bottoms.

Still, it’s better than the Baftas. The industry may think it’s getting a good deal, but film just wants to annex gaming and put it in the same vegetative state as animation.
