EA’s Jens Uwe Intat has said FIFA will maintain its edge over PES again this year, due to the company’s focus on product quality.

Jens told MCV FIFA has continued to grow its market share over Konami for the last couple of years, which he says is a “result of EA choosing to work on fewer, bigger titles.”

“Our games just get better and better – we have a clearly superior product to Konami, which I think wasn’t the case in the previous generation,” he said.

“Consumers – and even journalists – have come to understand this and the improvements we make; that all adds up to building market share there.”

FIFA 11 releases on September 28 in the US and October 1 in the UK.

PES 2011 launches on October 8.

“result of EA choosing to work on fewer, bigger titles.”

uh… what? EA has been working on a lot more titles than Konami has over the “past two years”. Didn’t they also release a World Cup title just mere three months ago (Konami did as well, granted, though it was limited to just Japan and so it can be argued that his supposed “point” here makes no sense). When EA had the Champions League license, all they did was release yearly versions of the game; now that Konami have it, they incorporate it into the game, rather than making another game. And overall, just look at the shameless glut of yearly titles EA release EACH and EVERY year.

Also, Pro Evo 2011 is a massive improvement and is a definite challenger to EA this year. Sites like Eurogamer and others have previewed the game and even though it was of a very early build it definitely looks the part. We haven’t even really seen true hands-on footage of FIFA this year. Just look at the comparison: EA being arrogant, flippant and haughty, as usual, while Konami has been nothing but modest and hard-working in their efforts this year. And it shows.

LOL, EA’s well known ” big fail anouncements”! How can they say those idiotic things when clearly this year PES , and not only,is over them ??

What improvement fifa brings? NEXTGEN graphics when PES had them all along?

I’ve quit playing FIFA just because of those arogants bastards over EA and their “MIRACULOUS” prodocut which is a big FAIL (well, most of!)
