Konami has released new in-game screenshots and some gameplay footage of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011.

It’s all below the break for you.

The game is slated for release on PC, PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 this fall and includes “total freedom of passing,” and a new power gauge system that allows players to measure every shot.

Neato! Enjoy the shots and trailer, which is courtesy of IGN, below.

Something I found on the internet:

The use of the term can be traced back to about 1880: it’s documented as soccer or socca in 1889, and socker in 1891. Soccer seemed have become the most common phrase by 1895. Originally it was only university slang; it was habitual for English university students in the 1880s to abbreviate any word and then add on ‘er’ or ‘ers’ to it (so breakfast became brekkers, or rugby became ruggers). Because this linguistic habit belonged to an elite social group is probably why the name soccer never caught on among the masses in most of the world. Perhaps it would never have caught on in the United States, except that Americans already had their own preferred ‘football’ game.

/runs out of the room very fast :D

my favorite soccer game since PSX era (what it is called? Winning Eleven maybe,CMIIW). today I Played it on PC only though. I think the gameplay is still the best out there.
It has nice visual too, but lack of animations that make it looks alive during the match(not the goal celebration or fouls cutscene).
Just add more & more animation Konami, there is no soccer player just stay put on its position when executing the corner kick, they’re always struggling to keep thier position or looking for a chance.
