Vagrant Story out on PSP and PS3 this week [Update]

Did you know Vagrant Story was releasing for PSP and PS3 in Europe this week? We didn’t. And yet it’s true. It’s a crazy world we live in.

The dungeon-crawling RPG was first released in 2000, and is a bit of a classic. You’d do well to give it a waz.

Update: Bad news. We’ve just been told by Square that the date – taken from the company’s newsletter – is actually wrong. The game’s coming to PSN soon, but not this week. We’ll let you know as soon as the correct date’s announced.

I’ll give this another go.
I had this with my PS2. I got stuck early on and gave up.
I think it deserves another chance.

“Vagrant Story” is one of the best games I ever played.
Spent more than 200 hours with this gem.

It’s about a “Riskbreaker” (some sort of elite military unit, think Soldier from FFVII) called Ashley Riot who has to hunt down and kill some dudes from an evil organisation in the ruins of an ancient city.

It had an awesome combat system that Square would do well to revisit, and had a cool system for building weapons too.
