Bethesda has confirmed that the Fallout 3 DLC retail pack containing Broken Steel and Point Lookout will land in stores August 25 for $20 for both Xbox 360 and PC.

According to Amazon and GameStop, come October 13, the Game of the Year Edition will contain all five DLC packs for $59.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360 and $49.99 for PC.

Bethesda is staying quiet on the release date and pricing for the GoTY edition.

Thanks, Joystiq.

Is there going to be a DLC pack with all the DLC on, but not the game?

I haven’t bought any of it so far, and they keep releasing new stuff, I’ve lost track.

I will probably buy the DLC packs separately, but need to get a bigger 360 Hard drive first because I have like 200MB free.

It works out cheaper to buy MS points as it stands, I don’t see the point in paying over the odds for this, particularly as some of the DLC doesn’t appear to have been too highly rated in terms of value for money in the first place.

Oh? I won’t buy the DLC disc then.

The advantage of them is that you can re-use them so if one of your friends buys one, you can get the content. (The best example is probably the Halo 2 map-packs which were released on disc, but I have also leant my Shivering Isles disc to some friends)

However, none of my friends have Fallout for the 360, so no advantage.
