I remember Sony doing this with i-Ninja and Kill Switch (making them European exclusives) and that annoyed the hell out of me then, and MS pulling this crap annoys me too.

They must have had to pony up a fair chunk of cash to get exclusivity for NA, seen as the game is quite clearly finished for the PS3. It’s a shitty, shitty move, whoever’s signing the cheque.

It’s not the person signing the cheque but the person accepting it that’s being shitty. They don’t have to accept, yet they have.

Surely the issue here is that Microsoft have bought exclusivity for the US, not that Sony have bought it for Europe. :-D

Edit: Which is, of course, what you said. Ignore me, I’ve been reading the EG comments thread and my mind is shredded.

Anyone can easily setup a European account- I set mine up in UK for any Non-US release.

It’s certainly an interesting decision, seeing as the game is fully ready for a PSN release. Paying for them not to develop it on a rival console is one thing, paying to not release a game that’s already made is another.

Different if it’s only timed, I suppose, as they get a nice chunk of cash up front, then more from its eventual release later.

Was it ever said that MS bought the US exclusivity, or was it just presumed?

I still think it’s odd.

I can’t think of any other explanation that makes any kind of sense. It is a little odd that Microsoft haven’t been crowing about it, though. Perhaps there’s something even more sinister than Microsoft at work? :-D

Indeed! I like the title but I’d be surprised if it was chased down as an exclusive, and in only one region at that.

An issue with the Ferrari licence, perhaps?

If I was still at school back in the 80′s, then i’d probably call something like this as ‘mental’. I’m not, so I won’t but DAMN, it’s all a bit queer isn’t it?

Very much looking forwards to this game though. It’s one of the best racers out there.
