Some screens after the break of the iPhone version of Silent Scope, announced yesterday.
Unless memory’s failing, it looks exactly like the 1999 arcade game.
We may buy an iPhone and sign up to a crippling contract just to play this on the odd occasion we leave the house.

Ten years ago called. It wants its graphics back.
Surely all the challenge goes out of a lightgun game when you can just ‘poke the screen’ where you want to fire?

the iphone contract isn’t crippling its rather fair tbh £35 a month for 500 minutes and 600 texts with unlimited internet (which i exploit daily)

That does sound OK, actually. I pay about that for my Blackberry, which is shit at internet.

It’s not the same without that big-assed rifle the arcade machine had. I’m sure I used to play games just becuase they had big plastic guns attached. I should probably grow up.

Yeah, I can’t get too excited about a touchscreen lightgun game. Both MGS and Time Crisis didn’t seem that shit-hot – you just poke the screen in a slightly unresponsive manner.
If you are only paying £35 a month then you prob had to dish out a decent amount for a handset – just get a itouch instead.

Damn that game was hard as hell! I never made it past the football stadium.

Why buy an iPhone for £350 when an iPod Touch plays the same games and costs much less? I picked up a 16Gb one from eBay for £120.
Can’t say I rate the games much, however.
