ActiBlizz applies for Sing Hero trademark

If the US government’s Patent and Trademark office’s website is to be believed, Activision’s applied for a trademark for Sing Hero.

Surely it sounds like what it is–a competitor to Sony’s Singstar and Microsoft’s Lips.

Looks as though ActiBlizz bossman Bobby Kotick wasn’t lying during his company’s financial call last month, when he said that five more “Hero” games would be heading our way this year.

Great. More drunken karaoke is in our future.

“Sing Hero” sounds stupid. “Song Hero”, maybe. “Singing Hero”, perhaps. But “Sing Hero”? Shome mishtake, shirley?

I’m looking forward to “M249 Hero”, it’ll be cheaper than spending money in the Las Vegas gun store to play it.

Dance hero would be legendary as it would just be full circle back to dance mats.

Maybe on Song Hero they will have a X-Factor style mode where you sing and someone tells you what an asshole you are, aside from your family I mean.

This whole casual gaming revolution has me in a tailspin. I just want it all to go away, it was all so much better in the past.
