Phantom Brave on Wii – what it looks like

phantom-ash

Gamespot has loads of screens up for the Wii version of the Nippon Ichi tactical RPG Phantom Brave — 52 to be exact.

Shots are a bit grainy, but you get a general idea of what to expect.

Game’s out on June 16.

Phantom Brave was a brilliant JTRPG… er, TJRPG… how does one abbreviate Japanese Tactical RPG “correctly”?

Anywho, put almost as many hours into this as i did with Disgaea. Add enough extras and I will probably buy it again, though a portable version like Disgaea’s PSP/DS and its would of been an instant purchase!

Is Phantom Brave the one with the circular movement things instead of Disgaea’s grid?

Patrick: Yes.

Locu: I think the phrase you’re looking for it JSRPG . =P

Japanese Strategy RPG.

And agreed. This game would have been perfect on the DS.

I loved this game. The Wii screens look oddly rough, though – like they’ve applied some kind of filter to them. The sprites were pretty low-res to begin with, I don’t think applying filters is going to help.
