Red Bull is first company to buy Home space
According to this BrandRepublic story, Red Bull will be the first company to buy a home within Home.
Red Bull has built a tropical island inside the social networking app, featuring an aeroplane racing game based on Red Bull’s real world Red Bull Air Race series.
John Beasley, brand marketing manager for Red Bull UK said Home represents an opportunity for brands to create “memorable and rich content”.
“The game gave us the first opportunity to recreate in the gaming world what we try to do in the real world, which is to facilitate interaction, to give people stories, memories, experiences and a really good opportunity to interact with the brand,” he said.
More through the link. Home should enter open beta this month.

Does this mean our avatars will get wings? I wouldn’t mind that.

“John Beasley and… Cheeky Monkey!”
(I know it’s not 100% accurate but it’s what came to mind)

I think Home is already in beta in all but name. I don’t know anyone now who hasn’t been sent a key…

Last time I checked I hadn’t, and the last massive splurge was supposed to be last Thursday wasn’t it.

If only they would recreate the Red Bull Crashed Ice event that they do in Quebec City, that would be a great experience!
