Potter delay to cost EA $120 million this year
According to this disclosure on Yahoo!, EA’s revealed that it expected Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to net it a cool $120 million in revenue this year.
The game was delayed yesterday until next summer, to keep it in line with the release of the film.
Thanks, Kotaku.

I wonder if they’re going to continue working on this, and really polish it to a sheen, or if it’ll be shelved until release?

I’m sure if they have a whip-round of their loose change they’ll be able to manage.

When they showed it at GC, Robo, it looked knock-out. Proper big environments, etc. Maybe it was just the whopping screen, or something, but it really did look great.

That’s good to hear. Chamber of Secrets seemed to be the best game yet, as it allowed you a freedom to explore the school, and take part in lessons that the others didn’t.

I love Harry Potter but have been disappointed in the movies and games. The case is great (not too high on the new Dumbledore…they should have gotten Peter O’Toole or Max Von Sydow) but the movies cut 90% of the story and the games have been lame.
With the new attitude of ‘ummm…lets cut the Hallows in half so we can tell the story properly’, maybe they will give us a better game than what they have in the past.
